This cute little cup is hand thrown on the wheel then carved with a freehand design into black stained slip using the Sgraffito method.
Once bisque fired the cup is then glazed with a food grade, zinc and lead free, clear glaze. Wax resist has been added to the rose to leave a textural matte finish, which is a nice juxtaposition against the high gloss.
This is a small handleless cup which holds 230ml.
